Is BPD a Sexist Diagnosis?

I believe so. In my view, male aggression is so normalised in our society that men are often under-diagnosed, and women are viewed as hysterical and “emotionally unstable” (EUPD actually includes the term “emotionally unstable”).

BPD emotions are NORMAL. Our reactions aren’t deemed so.

There is nothing “wrong” with us, we just process, feel and react differently to those without a BPD diagnosis.

10% of those with BPD will complete a suicide.

75% of us will attempt one.

There’s more of us running around than those with bipolar and schizophrenia COMBINED.

So why are we so stigmatised and misunderstood?
